Red rubin basil is a purplish basil, more color in direct sun, which has a stronger flavor than standard sweet basil.  Red rubin is great either fresh or dried and the leaves can also be frozen.  Red rubin grows well in pots but will also survive in a garden setting during the spring/summer and fall where is it s re-seeding annual.  Height of a mature plant can reach 16-18 inches.
