Gloxinias are plants native to South and Central America.  These plants are related to African Violets.  Plants bloom yearly.  They must be dead-headed (old blooms removed) to continue flowering.  The plants prefer temps above 65 and thus are better as indoor plants.  They can be taken outside during the summer.  Plants prefer partial to full shade.  No direct sunlight.  Plant grows 6-12 inches in height.
